Instructions For Resizing Your Monitor Display Settings |
|
|
Many people use their computers configured just as they came out of the box, and never realize that they can change their display properties. Many web pages, this one included, look awful at the default 640x480 setting. If you're on a PC running Windows, here's what you do to change it. Go to START, select SETTINGS (XP users just selct Control Panel,) select CONTROL PANEL. Under CONTROL PANEL, select DISPLAY. Select the tab on the far right labeled SETTINGS. On the bottom right there's a color setting. Select at least HIGH COLOR (16 bit) . On the bottom left there's a display setting. Move the slider bar to the right, until it reads 800 by 600 pixels. Click OK. Windows will display a box saying that it will now resize your window. Accept the change. Your screen goes blank for a frightening moment, but it comes back at the new setting. Click OK to accept the change. You can now see this web site in the manner that it was intended! |
